Expunge Felonies and Misdemeanors.
If you have been acquitted or had cases dismissed, you should file to have those charges expunged from your record. Additionally, if you have old convictions of misdemeanors as well as many felonies, you may be eligible to have those convictions expunged and removed from your record.
In most cases we will first order a certified criminal background check. This is only $42.50 from the State of Kentucky to determine your eligibility. Once eligibility is determined, legal fees begin at $600 for misdemeanors and $1,000 for felony filings. Additionally, the court will require filing fees for expungement of convictions (dismissals and acquittals do not have additional court fees).
Even if you went through diversion, the case may still appear on your record. You will need to file separate Petition for Expungement to have the case sealed and removed from your criminal background.
