An accident occurred Saturday, November 13th, 2021 leaving one man dead and a woman seriously injured.  A woman, who has not yet been named, driving a 2014 Ford Escape was traveling Eastbound on US-50 when she crossed left of center and wrecked head on into the driver of a 2004 Nissan Titan driven by, 54 year old Rodney Herzner of Fairfield.   Both Herzner and the female driver were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  Herzner was pronounced dead at the hospital.  The woman underwent surgery and is listed in serious condition.  The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

As we ‘Fall Back’ the skies get darker earlier in the evening.  While this may improve morning driving conditions, it wreaks havoc on the return from work traffic.

Driving at night or in the dark accounts for nearly 50% of all accidents.  40% of accidents that occur at night or under dark skies are fatal.  Whether the road is familiar or not there are multiple factors that increase your accident risk in the dark.  Your peripheral vision and depth perception greatly decreases along with the potential for temporary blindness as an oncoming vehicles headlights shine in your eye. It is important to stay vigilant at night.  If you find yourself or a loved involved in an accident contact Bouldin Law Firm or call 859-581-6453 (581-MIKE) and let us help you get the compensation your deserve.
