Why Top 5 Divorce Lawyers? Because if I did top 10 then those left off would have their feelings hurt. There are MANY very good attorneys in the area.
It is important for people going through a divorce to have some knowledge of who the best attorneys are in the area. Having practiced divorce law in both Southern Ohio/Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for over 30 years, I have a unique perspective on those lawyers that I believe do a great job in the area. My list is by no means exhaustive and is based completely on what I believe makes a top lawyer. Those attributes include, but are not limited to the following: ability to represent their client’s best interest, ability to explain to their client the process as well as how to achieve the best resolution, ability to talk to their client and tell them when they are pursing a course of action which is not likely to lead to the desired result, willingness to discuss with opposing counsel in real terms a good and “fair” resolution for both parties, and intent and hope to settle the large majority of cases while maintaining the ability to take cases to trial in which the other side is unreasonable. Special attention is given to those who are collaboratively trained and work with clients through that process.
My choices for the best divorce attorneys are, in no particular order:
- John Berger of The Berger Firm has been a Northern Kentucky staple for over 40 years. John works diligently to resolve his cases without litigation, but has the ability to cross examine the opposing party when necessary.
- Adrienne Roach has created her own path at the larger firm of Keating, Muething & Klekamp. Her no-nonsense approach allows clients to be heard but then to hear the truth about their case.
- Mark Ogle. Mark, now working with Bricker Graydon, brings his years of experience as a divorce lawyer have helped him evolve to one of the premier mediators throughout Kentucky. Mark now works closely and often provides continuing education instruction through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
- Beth Silverman & Associates. Her entire team is dedicated to representation in domestic relation matters. The lawyers at Beth’s firm are compassionate and work hard to provide the best advice and representation for their clients.
- Margo Grubbs of Grubbs & Landry has a long history of zealous representation. Margo has gracefully aged from a criminal defense attorney to a no-BS / no-nonsense advocate representing clients in a wide range of areas, including divorce law. She has set the bar to show that you can represent clients in both criminal and domestic relations.
- Honorable mentions: Juliette Dane Gaffney, Erin Wilkins, Rene Heinrich, Stephanie Dietz, Jonathan Hart, Mike McMain, Matt Worth, Ruth Jackson, James Moscowitz, Zach Smith, and Beth Murray.
- I didn’t include Eileen Zell even though she may be the best because she is SO specialized that she only takes attorneys as clients and only handles QDRO, valuations, and division of retirement plans.
Michael Bouldin has been practicing law in Northern Kentucky for over 30 years. Bouldin Law Firm is equipped to handle your legal needs. For inquiry or consultation, call Bouldin Law Firm at 859-581-6453 or inquire with this link.
